It is my challenge to make art from trash. Currently, my main medium is the plastic that makes up monitor and TV screens and rigid foam insulation. I design the feathers in SVG format and download each design onto a Glowforge laser cutter. Each design is sized for the particular bird, cut, then painted, and glued on to the rigid foam body.
Some birds have more that 1000 feathers.
The sculpture bases can be logs, branches. or roots that I find in the woods.
